Kwik Update: Latest practice LSAT score: 168. Good, but no 'Holy Grail' of 170+ good. But, WTH, I got 10 outta 27 reading comp questions wrong (wtf) (btw, I got 7 wrong in ALL MY OTHER SECTIONS COMBINED). The sections were really hard, but still. Getting those points woulda gave me a ridonkulous score.

Let's hope I can pull it together for Saturday.

Crap, crap, crap. I got really sick last week and basically did nothing.

In other news, LSAT THIS SATURDAY!!! (death) So, please please please leave me alone if at all possible. I keep scoring around 166~ and I need to score around 170 to be irresistible to law schools and have that future thing that people keep talking about. Also, I keep making stupid mistakes in my logical reasoning sections, whereas I can pretty much perfectly do the logic games section and the reading section is finally clicking with me. ARGH.

If you have any tips, do let me know plz.

I promised I'd write, and so I will. I've always hated blogs, because I hate talking about myself at lengths. Furthermore, when forced to do so, I agonize about every noun/adjective/verb choice to the point where I would have better served to just have kept it all to myself. But, alas, I will break through these self-imposed barriers and attempt to say moderately interesting things for my own good. Well, now that I've got introductions out of the way, what is there to say?

What I am enjoying about this semester:
-The fencing newbies are decidedly fun. Funner than expected.
-The video game system wars are in full swing, and no matter what happens, I win.
-I feel like I'm learning Japanese. (Gee, thanks Murakami-san.)
-I've met some genuinely interesting people.
-Good, new music.
-Getting done with both majors.
-Possible job with Microsoft? Possibly at a Japanese branch? (Dammit, stop dangling that fruit which is ripe for the picking!)

What I am not enjoying about this semester:
-People are letting me down left and right.
-Applications are due, and I am seriously boned when it comes to recommendations.
-No time - ever.
-Japanese and Korean are doing a one-two punch combo to my grades and sanity.
-Natalie wa inai.
-Bro has gone to Europe.
-I haven't seen enough of the people I will miss greatly after I graduate.

That said, a high point of this semester has been new music. David (the music guru that he is) had told me about the Decemberists, but (as always) I waited about 3 months before I convinced myself that I discovered them on my own. Now, as the leaves fall and the weather becomes whack-tacular, the Decemberists tend to know exactly what to say - I highly recommend them. They're just the correct amount of indie-pop-rock with spiffy lyrics. With accordians! What more could you ask for? Nothing, says I.

So, ya. The weather is changing. Although this is my 4th year at UVA, I am still amazed when it happens. I find that walking to class and seeing the foiliage being scattered in the wind still holds much aesthetic power for me - it's weird. Despite all the ups and downs cville and I've had, I've come to really love this town as a home. But, before I know it, I'll be outta here and off to something new...Belize does seem like a world away now too.

Gah, I need to decide where I want to be.

Ah, a blog. I never really wanted to have one, but it's the hot, new thing - and- I'm a sucker for fads.

There is a greater purpose for this blog though, and I promise I won't bore the masses (masses = no one atm, 'cause no one knows about this blog) with emo whining and pining. In the following couple of years, I plan to do the JET thang and apply to Law School (all that jazz), so it may be nice to keep track of what's happening and eventually have a body of writing for friends to check up on me (friends = people with too much free time). I know everyone and their mom has done a JET blog, but dammit, mine will be ever so slightly different, or I'll just add ridiculous swooning over random things. Why start a year early you ask? (you = being me asking myself for justification) Well, to get practice blogging and jotting down moderately interesting things about myself would be the why. Plus, if I can't keep this up here, I think I'll have less than a snowball's chance in hell of keeping it up abroad.
